Princesses’ Diaries

(Jan 12, 2012)  Right now as I write this I’m sitting with my stuffed puppy, Fudge. And he says that if we don’t move soon he’s gonna be very angry. I can’t believe that the sun went down at 4:30. I remember in the summer the sun wouldn’t go down until 9:00 and we’d play outside until then.

The best part of S.C. is that there will be the beach, an Upside down house and TACOS (I LOVE TACOS)! All of my favorite things. Plus we will only be 8 hours away from Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I hope they don’t have clowns in South Carolina. If I see one I’ll wanna leave right away.

And pretty soon I’ll be there living the dream. Well kinda. I’ll still be stuck with my sisters. Sigh. If only we could leave them here. Then it REALLY would be a dream.”

(Jan 10, 2012) Right now in Myrtle beach it’s 56. That’s way better than the 30 degree weather here. One thing I’m excited to do when we get there is learn to surf. I bet it’ll be so much more fun than sledding and snowboarding. I’d like to see someone hit their head on a tree or get frostbite while surfing.

One thing I’m not looking forward to though, is the sixteen hour drive there. Good thing the car has a DVD player or I’d never survive. I hope my younger sisters fall asleep fast. Imagine being in a car for sixteen hours while your siblings complain,  “I’m bored!”, “I have to go to the bathroom!” and “Are we there yet?!”. But I guess that’s what’s to be expected when you’ve got so many sisters.

Whether looking on the positive or negative side of moving, one thing’s for sure…IT’LL BE AWESOME!!!”

(Jan 9, 2012) Moving to South Carolina will be great but I’ll still always love N.Y.. I can’t wait to move and live like a Southerner. Do they really talk funny there? It’ll be weird not being able to go outside and build snowmen, have snowball fights or make snow angels. Maybe they build sand angels, have sand fights and make sand castles. I’m joking but I bet we can do a bunch of things there that we can’t do in N.Y. in the winter. Like swim in the ocean or have a barbecue in the middle of January.

I think my sister will be happy, because her birthday is in the end of January and she always complains how she can’t do anything fun and I can because my birthday is in the summer. But now she’ll have great weather on her birthdays and it’ll be 110 degrees on mine.

Living in N.Y. has been a great experience but I guess it’s time to move on to something new. Because if nobody ever tried anything new, how would the earth have evolved into such a beautiful planet that I call home!

(Jan 8, 2012)  Moving. That word isn’t unfamiliar. Except this time it’s not just moving. It’s moving out of state, which I am not very familiar with. I’ve only moved out of state once, but I don’t remember it since I was an infant at the time. This time, though, I know what’s going on.

I’m quite excited about moving to South Carolina, although one of my sisters would definitely beg to differ. She’s never been one to get excited about things, no matter what it is. In fact, I think she may not even want to go. I do. I can’t take the cold up here anymore. It seems as though we hardly have a summer at all, and the summer we do have leaves just as quickly as it arrives.

I’m very much looking forward to the beach. Just thinking of it makes me even more excited about the whole thing. The sand between my toes, inhaling the salty sea air.

I feel like I’m the most excited to get out of New York. Maybe I am. It seems like it. I’m done with the cold. Done with the snow. Done with getting all bundled up to go outside during the winter, only to come back inside fifteen minutes later because it’s too cold and take all of the heavy clothes off again. I despise the cold. Everyone here is ready to go someplace warmer. Someplace where we won’t have to shovel two feet of snow off of the driveway every single morning.

One thing I am not eager for is the 15 hour (at least) drive down to South Carolina, but I guess I have the scenery to look forward to! Hopefully, though, I won’t be driven insane in a mini van with my sisters all arguing. Maybe I’ll get some peace. Hopefully. . . .

Still, I’m very excited about this “adventure” we’ll soon be embarking on!

(Jan 7, 2012) “I am excited about going to the beach in Myrtle Beach. I want to build a big sand castle on the beach, but I don’t want to go swimming because of the sharks. Driving to South Carolina is going to take 16 hours, so on the drive I’m going to listen to songs on my mp3 player, watch movies, and eat and drink. I hope we can bring lemonade.”

Ooooohhhhh….don’t you fret about any old sharks, Sweetheart! I have lived here for 11 years and never heard of sharks bothering anyone. You just jump right in and enjoy those waves. I’ll just bet you will LOVE to go Boogie-Boarding!!! You’ll see!!

Thank you Randi! Boogie-Boarding is certainly one of the first things they have on their list to try as soon as we get there!
